

Medication
We can only administer medication that has been prescribed by a doctor.
Medication must be labelled by the pharmacist and in the original packaging. The measuring spoon/ syringe supplied by the pharmacist must be included.  
The container/package for prescribed medication must show the following:

name of the patient and name of the medication 
-
the dosage and frequency of dosage  
-
date prescribed and expiry date
-
specific directions for the administration 
-
precautions relating to the medication (e.g., possible side effects/storage instructions)

Non- prescribed medication such as Calpol/ Nurofen, will not be administered unless included in an individual health care plan (as approved by medical practitioners), or discussed with school due to a significant illness/injury.
